LambEx will officially kick off on Wednesday afternoon (July 1) with a program for delegates to ‘create their own adventure’ and explore the exhibition. LambEx is offering 16 organisations the opportunity to increase awareness of their latest innovation or provide a demonstration to delegates. Put simply, a TechTalk is a short presentation or demonstration focused on innovation and technology that producers can apply on-farm tomorrow.
WHAT IS A TECHTALK?
Set in the exhibition on Wednesday afternoon (1 July), a series of pop up stages will come alive as organisations present their latest innovation in research, service or product in a TechTalk. Each TechTalk is a 10 minute talk with an additional 5 minutes for questions and each sponsoring organisation will deliver their TechTalk twice.
HOW WILL THE AFTERNOON WORK?
Each organisation will be allocated two time slots over the afternoon to present their TechTalk. Each TechTalk will be scheduled to provide delegates with a program of con-current short presentations (maximum 4 at one time). As the organisation repeats the presentation in the TechTalk program, delegates are offered the opportunity to craft their own program as they select TechTalks of interest.
WHAT’S THE PURPOSE?
TechTalks are intended for delegates to gain an understanding of what’s new and on show in the exhibition. After receiving an update or demonstration, follow up conversations with the organisation are encouraged at their exhibition stand over the coming days at LambEx. It’s anticipated that the content delivered through a TechTalk will be targeted for producers to apply in their business in the short to medium term.
WHO SHOULD PRESENT A TECHTALK?
TechTalks are encouraged across the following themes: eID, business development, health / welfare, pasture / grazing, soils, mixed systems, genetics, technology / PA / sensors, wool, product development, agtech / connectivity, handling / equipment, sustainable ag / land management, nutrition. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FOR ORGANISATIONS?
LambEx is making these innovative changes in the exhibition to provide increased opportunities for organisations to engage with delegates. Building on the previously held breakfast seminars, each TechTalk will be integrated into the final LambEx program and advertised through LambEx channels … which means your message will be extended beyond the LambEx exhibition. There’s a list of practical benefits in the Sponsorship Opportunities document (page 18).
EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST
The Organising Committee invites organisations to submit an expression of interest outlining what delegates will take home from the 10 minute TechTalk. Email us for more information or to discuss your content.
